TC vs Firefox 2.0

--< [all this generally should be fixed these days, starting with the version 1.05 of Traction Control] >--

Unfortunately, the new shiny tab bar in the forthcoming Firefox version 2.0 is not compatible with the “tabs up” effect added by the Traction Control extension and results in a slight visual glitch.

When the Traction Control's panel is closed, it actually looks as some kind of an intended visual effect. However, when the panel is opened, it becomes apparent it is a few pixels off.

The solution is to turn on the option “The tab bar is not modified ever” in the dialog found through Tools/Add-ons/Extensions/Traction Control/Options.

I will most probably make a new release of the extension, which will not modify the tab bar. Personally, I love the overlapping tabs look, but I can't seem to be able to obtain this functionality with the more complex new tab bar.

The default keyboard shortcut will be changed, because Ctrl-Shift-T in Firefox 2.0 has been assigned to the new function “Undo close tab”.

This new release will also fix a crazy bug with the possibly invisible Options dialog's contents (on Macs?) . If you somehow happen to see this problem, I can describe a workaround.

I hope nothing scary will happen and the available release of Traction Control will work with the Firefox 2 series before I manage to make an updated version... All this versions/add-ons business makes me really nervous...
